The Straits Times loves to quill :D :D

Hello Everyone,

~I am typing this post doing a little happy dance~ (Yes, I can manage to dance and type!! :D :D)

I know I have been a lousy blogger but its so not my fault...those having a faulty laptop will understand my condition...you cannot update blog with tablets and phone as nicely as you can do with a desktop or laptop (may be some people can, but I sooo can't!! :(

But this news was toooo good not to be shared with my lovely readers and students...:))

I got an exclusive craft bite with our very own The Straits Times on March 8th, 2013 (which is also International Women's day). I am soo happy to see quilling making news, (more happier that I am the one making it!! hahahaha!!)

Okay!! not being very modest..:P But yeah, I am really very happy that quilling is getting its fair share of attention in our not so crafty Singapore...I can now proudly say that Singapore is not only about condos and cash but about crafts and cards too (hope not sounding silly!! :D).

Have a look -
This bite is dedicated to all my near and dear ones, both personally and those whom I met during my crafty pursuits...

Happy Quilling

Singapore's First Handmade Craft Fair *Sticky post till 19th Jan*

Dear All,
Apart from my hibernation from blogging I have some exciting news to share with you all!! And that is....

Singapore is finally having its own handmade movement! Yayy!!!

Singapore, a country which was never really artistically inclined, had a fair share of artistic talent too. Though, what it really missed was a common platform where it could be combined, promoted, nurtured and most importantly bring in front of the world at large. And now, this is ACTUALLY and FINALLY happening..
2 very lovely people, Michelle and Aisah, have taken this daunting task and are finally making it a reality, of which 100s of crafters and handmade artisans have only dreamed of.
You can check the Handmade Movement website here.

And what is an even bigger reason for me to be happy about???? Well, you guessed correctly!! I am very much a part of it too and boy!!! I am super duper excited.

There will be lots of vendors, crafters. food stalls, music, workshops and what more, all of the stuff you'll see there will be 'Handmade', 'Orginal' and of course, truly very special!!!

If you are a crafter, or simply interested in crafts and handmade or simply willing to have a fun saturday shopping, eating and learning something new, this is the event for you.

You can find more details about the event on there website. If you wish to know more about the craft vendors click here.

Its an event not to be missed!!
